Lade die Datei OMSI2.BackupSystem.bat über den Button im Inhaltsverzeichnis herunter. Du kannst die Datei an einem beliebigen Ort speichern.

Download the OMSI2.BackupSystem.bat file using the button in the table of contents. You can save the file anywhere you like.

Als Administrator starten

Run as Administrator

Mache einen Rechtsklick auf die Datei und wähle "Als Administrator ausführen". Dies ist entscheidend, da das Tool die Berechtigung benötigt, in geschützten Windows-Ordnern zu arbeiten.

Right-click on the file and select "Run as administrator". This is crucial as the tool needs permission to operate in protected Windows folders.

Specify OMSI 2 Path

Beim ersten Start fragt das Tool nach dem Pfad zu deinem OMSI 2-Hauptverzeichnis. Kopiere den Pfad aus dem Windows Explorer und füge ihn in das Fenster des Tools ein.

On its first run, the tool will ask for the path to your main OMSI 2 directory. Copy the path from Windows Explorer and paste it into the tool's window.

Nach der Validierung deines OMSI-Pfades landest du im Herzen des Tools. Hier wählst du aus, welchen Bereich deiner Installation du verwalten möchtest: .hof-Dateien, Maps, Vehicles oder die Spiel-Einstellungen.

After validating your OMSI path, you will land in the heart of the tool. Here you choose which area of your installation you want to manage: .hof files, Maps, Vehicles, or the game settings.

4. Backups erstellen

Wenn du ein Backup erstellst, werden deine Originale nie berührt. Es wird eine sichere Kopie erstellt, verpackt und als .bak-Datei in deinem OMSI-Ordner abgelegt.

When you create a backup, your originals are never touched. A secure copy is created, packaged, and saved as a .bak file in your OMSI folder.

Die Wiederherstellung ist ein geführter Prozess, der dich sicher durch die Auswahl des Backups und des Ziels leitet.

Achtung: Bei der Wiederherstellung werden existierende Dateien im Zielordner mit den Dateien aus dem Backup überschrieben!

Restoring is a guided process that safely leads you through selecting the backup and the target.

Caution: During restoration, existing files in the target folder will be overwritten with the files from the backup!

Das Fenster schließt sich sofort. Was tun?

Das passiert fast immer, wenn Administrator-Rechte fehlen. Starte das Tool immer mit "Als Administrator ausführen".

Wo werden die Backups gespeichert?

Alle .bak-Dateien werden direkt in deinem OMSI 2-Hauptverzeichnis abgelegt.

The window closes immediately. What to do?

This almost always happens if administrator rights are missing. Always start the tool with "Run as administrator".

Where are the backups saved?

All .bak files are stored directly in your main OMSI 2 directory.
